Wedding on popular scenic islands Mauritius and Seychelles – the process
The most popular places amongst our clients are Mauritius and Seychelles where you can find many special discounts for the bride.
You will choose the most romantic place for your wedding accompanied with hotel manager after your arrival at a hotel. You may choose an alcove in the hotel garden, luxurious restaurant, chairs on the sandy beach or underneath the palm trees, or eventually catamaran. The wedding usually takes place from Monday to Friday, from 14:00 to 17:00 o´clock. Witnesses of the wedding are regularly representatives of a local travel agency, who take care of you while on the island, or management of the hotel. Photographer or a video record of the wedding, as well as musical accompaniement, setout (Mauritius) or unique oxcart (an island La Digue, Seychelles islands) we recommend to book in advance. Flower bouquet for the bride, florets for hair or for flap can be easily arranged at spot.
The exotic wedding proceeds according to local legal regulations in an English language. Groom and bride repeat short wedding vow. You will receive the text of vow in English from our travel agency. The wedding ceremony is not difficult from the language point of view, but both newly-weds must have essential English knowledge. You may take advantage of interpreter, who has to be ensured beforehand for an extra fee. The vow ends up with the ring exchange and kiss. Marriage is sealed with signatures into the official books. After that follows toast, eventually cake cutting and picture taking on a beach. You will receive the original of the wedding certificate in a few days at your hotel or it will be delivered by DHL directly to you (a few days in need to verify it with apostilla = state verification of authenticity, visually looks like a registrar stamp and most of the times it is located on the back page of the document). After your return back to the Czech / Slovak Republic have the wedding certificate translated by authorized expert and go to your permanent address registrar office, where you will write up a “Solemnization of marriage registration”. The registrar office will sent everything to a special Registrar office in Brno, which will make your Czech wedding certificate.
Process at your wedding adjustment
After choosing the destination and date of your trip to exotic island, you can select an accommodation from our wide selection. Most of the hotels arrange daily only 1 wedding ceremony. So if you have in mind a special date for your wedding ceremony, we recommend that you book your wedding ceremony as soon as possible – at least 4-8 months in advance. Plan the arrival in the destination at least 2 weekdays before the ceremony to settle all details and concretization of the place. In some destinations (for example Mauritius) you have to visit local authorities on a weekday at least 1 day prior your wedding ceremony. The shortest term to ensure the wedding is on Seychelles 14 days, followed by Mauritius with 31 days from the date of receiving your wedding documents at our travel agency. If you are booking your trip on the last moment, we advise that you get all necessary documents translated and verified.
